[fname], years ago a famous restaurant 'reviewer' could make or break the opening of a new restaurant with a good or bad review. Zagat's became influential in New York when it started surveying what we might call 'foodies' today, people who ate out 2-3 times a week regularly, and publishing these 'reviews'.

Four decades later Reviews of all restaurants, companies, products and services (a form of Social Proof) are the layman's guide to quickly choosing or making a decision to buy in any market with many competitors or options to choose from.

For entrepreneurs who run local businesses today, having positive 4 to 5 star reviews on our local listings on online browsers & websites like Google, Facebook, Yelp, Linkedin, Angie's List & the BBB can help drive online traffic, phone calls and sales into our companies much like the biggest yellow pages phone book display advertisement might have done 30 or more years ago.

This is why as we get started building and creating your Marketing System, if you don't already have an overwhelming number of positive online reviews, we will start by establishing and using a Google Local Business account to ask your clients for reviews.

If you're not familiar with the process, don't worry, it is not complicated but it does take some time and effort on your part. And I will create Tools and Systems for your that will automate the process so it is not entirely manual.

WHY REVIEWS?: Now you might ask WHY do I want Google (and other online ) Reviews? Here's why - a true story. Last tax season a CPA client of mine who has been accumulating 5-STAR Google Reviews set a goal of getting 30 new tax clients for the tax season. He's runs a small firm, himself and 4-5 other staff. By mid February he had already passed the 30 new client goal and was up to 40+. By the end of March he had 75 new tax clients and stopped taking new ones unless they would do an extension.

How & why did these new clients find & pick this CPA? Well he had 48 (forty eight) 5-Star Google Reviews on his Google Business listing for his city (he has even more now) so when someone searched for the word CPA or Accountant, his name popped up at the TOP of the Google Maps/Local 3-Pack listing. And since his competition didn't have any or near as many reviews as my client, it was easy for the person looking for a tax preparer to click and pick up the phone and call his office for an appointment.

FREE ADVERTISING: Seriously, you'd have to spend tens of thousands of dollars in advertising, online, in print or broadcast media to get those types of results. But if you know the SECRETS of how Reviews influence people AND how Google REWARDS you for these Reviews with FREE SEARCH TRAFFIC (along with other online review platforms), you have a real competitive edge over your competition.
