[fname], last week we talked about Strategy #1 of attracting new clients - be different and focus on CLIENT problems, not your background.

 

And in case you have been busy and forgot, one of the 9 tools is using a FOLLOW UP SERIES of emails to help the person who requests a report (in this case you) get the most benefit out of what you gave them.

 

And that is what we are going to do today.  Focus on Strategy/Tool #2 on:

 

Create and Use the Right BAIT to Attract Your Ideal Business or Individual Client to Your Firm.

 

The gist of this strategy is instead of just selling you, take a Consumer Advocate Strategy and help TEACH the person HOW to DECIDE to HIRE someone like you (an accountant, CPA, bookkeeper, EA, etc.).

 

How do you do this?  With my clients we create reports & checklists for the person (consumer) and one example is one titled:  19 Questions to Ask BEFORE Hiring a Bookkeeper, Accounting or CPA Firm.

 

We then use this report in Google Adwords campaigns, in any print advertising AND if you use a telemarketer or appointment setter, we have them offer the report (more on this in an upcoming Strategy).

 

By using this Strategy & Tool (the Right BAIT) we catch a lot more leads in our Marketing System than just talking about us, our degrees, our experience, our staff, our services and so on.

 

Don't get me wrong, there is a time and place for all that, just not in your advertising.
