RE:

IRS Announcement of Capital Gains Tax Calculation Change After Tax Returns Filed

The IRS has announced that the instructions listed for calculation of capital gains tax were incorrect and affected tax returns filed before May 15, 2019. The IRS has defined this as an error on their side and has begun to send notices to our clients who had capital gains on their tax returns. Depending on the amount of your capital gain, this could be significant or insignificant depending on your circumstances.

If you receive a notice regarding Schedule D calculation, please forward it to our office, and we will handle appropriately.

If you need more information on this issue, please call Paul at extension 102 or Raj at extension 128.

Please click here for the attachment and further information.
