[fname], in the last email I outlined the 6-STEP process you should go through when you start the process of exiting your business.


If you scroll down there's a graphic on the right side of this email that outlines this process.  And it starts with what your GOALS are for exiting or selling your business.


Establishing Your Exit GOALS


You need to determine WHAT you want OUT of the exit or sale of your business.  Is it to get the biggest check possible to fund your lifestyle after you leave your business?


Or is it to pass along your business to your existing management team or an individual in the business?  Maybe you have a son or daughter involved in the business and you want them to take it over?


Regardless of what your goals are, you need to figure this out BEFORE you sell or exit the business.  Why?  For example let's say you list your business for sale and a Private Equity Group contacts you and makes you an offer.  You accept but as the sale nears you find the new owners intend to fire nearly all your employees and absorb the business into one of their similar but existing locations.


If this bothers you and you suddenly realize you want your staff to stay but that's a deal breaker for the private equity group, you've wasted time and money going down this path & it may be too late for you to back out.


Had you SET your Exit GOAL first this all could have been avoided.  Go to page 3 in your report to read more about how important your exit goal is.
