[fname], in the last email I talked about establishing your Exit GOALS as the 1st step in the 6-STEP process you should go through when you start the process of exiting your business.
Today I'll cover the next 2 steps in the process, they are:
Measuring your FINANCIAL and MENTAL READINESS, and
Identifying the TYPE of Exiting Owner you most Resemble
As you start to think about exiting your business want to measure both your FINANCIAL Readiness and MENTAL Readiness.
Financial Readiness is do you have or will you have enough money or investments before you exit or sell your business to live/retire on OR does the sale of the business need to provide money to live on.
Mental Readiness is are you okay with not going to work every day, do you have enough to do post-exit to keep you busy & alive after you exit the business?
FYI - there are no right or wrong 'readiness' answers to the questions of are you mentally and financially ready to exit your business. Rather the answers help determine the TYPE of business owner you are.
And this in turn helps you choose or target the best EXIT OPTIONS or specifically potential BUYERS or RECIPIENTS of your business
