[fname], in the last email I talked about taking the second of 5 Exit Strategies for exiting owners, that being #2 - Private Equity Group Recapitalizations.

If you want to learn more about this strategy, go to page 8 in my free report.  Today I'm going to go over the next type of EXIT STRATEGY available to you as you as you exit your business.

Strategy #3: Employee Stock Ownership Plans (ESOP's) as Exit Vehicles

If you use an ESOP instead of a sales transaction, your strategy is over a number of years to actually increase your total wealth while accommodating your low mental readiness to stop working. You can keep your job, continue running the business, diversify your personal wealth, and then a higher amount in the end. Here are some ESOP basics.

An ESOP is a qualified retirement plan that is allowed to buy your company stock. ESOPs have been in existence for over 30 years, currently more than 11,000 ESOPs exist nationwide. ESOPs are very flexible tools for assisting with the design of an exit strategy plan. They can help you create a buyer for your company stock.

Most business owners enjoy the aspect of control they have over their businesses and lives. After all, the likely reason you're in business for yourself is to have control over your destiny. Selling your business for the highest price requires that you give up strategic and financial control of your business. However, by establishing an ESOP, you can create a buyer for the shares of your stock without involving an outsider in the transaction, thereby you can maintain control.  (You can learn more about this strategy on page 9 of my report).
